The WES 660 and 910-A thermal stores, available from summer 2012, are very well equipped.

Their standard specification includes highly effective Isodual heat insulation, patented thermal stratification column, stainless-steel coil heat exchanger, gas or oil-fired condensing boiler connections with bypass function, multiple additional connections (external heat sources, electrical heating), as well as other immersion sleeves with precisely determined positions.

Weishaupt's innovative WES thermal store can make use of heat from mutiple sources (solid fuel boiler, heat pump, electrical heating, etc.). It allows for an optimal distribution of heat and also offers an exceptionally hygienic supply of hot-water.

Fresh water is warmed as it flows through a corrugated, stainless-steel pipe coil. There is hardly any stagnation due to the frequent water exchanges and the speed of the flow, and as a consequence hygiene standards are exemplary. The Weishaupt thermal store offers quantity as well as quality, with an outstanding hot-water capacity that makes it best suited for use in hotels and boarding houses.

The patented thermal stratification column functions as a heat ducting system; mutiple thermo-locks in differently arranged positions ensure a methodical distribution of heat within the thermal store. This ensures the upper portions of the thermal store are fed with energy first so that heat is available for heating and domestic hot water at the earliest opportunity. The thermal stratification column with integrated solar heat exchanger works on purely physical principles, there are no mechanical components and no external heat exchanger is required. This helps achieve the best conditions for a long service life.

The dual-layer Isodual insulation is 100 mm thick, helping effectively to retain solar heat gains. The inner layer comprises 20 mm of polyester fleece, which nestles against the cylinder wall and prevents air circulation. The outer layer comprises 80 mm of wedged Neopor with an outstanding lambda value of 0.0316 W/m·K (reference temperature: 10 °C). To simplify installation the insullation is divided into three sections that are joined by snap closures. The snap closures have covers that integrate with the design giving an overall attractive appearance.
