SCOT system

The SCOT system is used on gas-fired condensing boilers (WTC-15A to 60A). An electrical current, which varies depending on the products of combustion, flows across the SCOT electrode that is positioned directly in the flame. The combustion manager evaluates the signal and, when necessary, adjusts the gas valve to vary the gas/air compound and maintain optimal combustion. This ensures high quality combustion and low emissions throughout the whole turndown range of the boiler. It is also possible to fire differing qualities of gas without having to change settings or exchange components. Even biogas mixtures can be adjusted for in this way!

Standby losses

Standby losses arise when a heating boiler looses its heat through the flue after a burner is switched off. Special dampers in the flue or in the burner's air inlet can reduce these losses considerably, thereby further increasing efficiency.
