Flue gas lossesA flue gas loss is the unused heat energy released by the fuel (e.g. oil or gas). When high temperature exhaust gases are passed unused out of the flue, one talks of flue gas losses. To maximise use of this heat, i.e. the residual energy in the flue gases, low temperature or better still condensing systems can be used.
FuelsHeating oil, natural gas, liquefied gas, and biogas are used as fuels and are essentially hydrocarbon chains. Their energy content is made usable by burning with air.
Flow temperatureTemperature of the heating water which flows to the radiator. As a rule, the flow temperature in the case of radiator heating systems is 70 degrees Celsius (ca. 40 degrees in the case of floor heating systems). The temperatures are only that high, however, when the outside temperatures are low. If the outside temperature increases, the flow temperatures are less.
