MS Polar Stern
That's no adventure.
The MS Polar Stern (Pole Star) icebreaker uses its 20,000 HP engines to the battle through the freezing pack-ice zones of the polar seas. The ship, with its 40-man crew, presses onwards to regions that no man has ever set eyes on before – and is able to spend the winter there without any problems. Heat below deck is essential for survival. This part of the expedition is therefore placed in the hands of two Weishaupt Type WL2 and WL3 oil burners.
